Our Philosophy

Grace Fuller Marroquin’s love for horticulture and garden design started as a child growing up in Philadelphia and Rome. From a young age she was inspired by her mother, an artist and active gardener who incorporated nature into her photography. In 2006, during a high school apprenticeship at the University of Hawaii’s Botanical Garden in Manoa Valley, Fuller Marroquin deepened her attachment to the natural world around her.

After gra duating from the University of Miami with a degree in sociology and photojournalism, Fuller Marroquin began her career in the fashion industry, first as a fashion and jewelry editor at Vogue, and later as the jewelry editor at W magazine. While at W, she l aunched CINQUE, a limited – run fashion line of highly crafted robe coats. Leveraging her experience in the creative and visual fields, in 2018 Fuller Marroquin decided to exit the fashion space to pursue a long – held interest in landscapes and gardening.

She studied at the New York Botanical Garden’s School of Horticulture, where she completed her Landscape Design Certification.

Since launching Grace Fuller Design, she has taken on various commercial and private projects around the world, collaborating wi th artisans, architects, horticulturists, and other designers to bring her creative visions to life. Her romantic and wild approach to landscape design is driven by a responsible stewardship for her client’s land. Grace Fuller Design is recognized as part of the AD100 list as of 2025.”

Yasmina Hamdan is a Junior Landscape Designer at Grace Fuller Design. She was born inBeirut, a city of constant construction and deconstruction, where shifting landscapes shapeeveryday life. Growing up in Lebanon, she was surrounded by places marked byboth scars andbeauty, a duality that continues to inform her vision as a designer.

Her father’s nursery in South Lebanon became the foundation of this vision. Even after beingdestroyed during times of war, the nursery was rebuilt, season after season, asa living testamentto resilience and renewal. From this, Yasmina developed a profound connection to landscapesthat is intimate and emotional.

She earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the Boston Architectural Collegeand herMaster of Sciencein Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University’s GSAPP.

Connor McCabe is a Project Coordinator with a foundation in both architecture and landscapedesign. Raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he developed an early appreciation for lush landscapes and the ways built environment can shape experience and daily life.

At Temple University, Connor became involved in design activism through his work withcommunities and initiatives, coordinating students and local community members in the creation ofa temporary pocket parkrooted in neighborhood storytelling and shared space-making.

Since then, Connor has collaborated with internationally recognized artists and contributed to publicrealm projects including the ASLA award-winning Omaha Riverfront Revitalization. He also led thedesign of Philadelphia’s first rooftop playground at Childs Elementary School while at Studio Ludo.After moving to New York City, Connor has worked with a range of studios on public artinstallations, high-end residential projects, and landscape-focused work, bringing clarity and thoughtful execution to every phase of design.
